Lenten Growth Opportunity

“How do you grow in your love for God?” Ultimately the answer is that God shapes our hearts for greater love, but here at Prince of Peace we believe that there are three important pieces to the puzzle of that kind of spiritual transformation:

Content:
We need to know certain things, especially in the Bible.

Application:
We need to put into daily practice what we hear God saying to us.

Community:
We need others to encourage us and hold us accountable.
All three of these pieces are coming together for us this Lenten season, and you’re invited to come and grow with your family of faith. Here are the details:

When:
Monday evenings, February 22 – March 29.

What & Where:
5:45-6:30 Dinner served in the Community Room (freewill offering)
6:30-6:45 Prayer and Worship in the Sanctuary
6:45-7:15 Teaching by our pastoral staff
7:15-8:00 Small Group processing time

Who: Everyone!
Existing Small Groups who would like a “recharge” can make this their weekly meeting.
Small Groups that would like to welcome in new group members.
We’ll have new leaders present who are ready to launch new groups.
People who would like to “kick the tires” of a small group without making a long-term commitment.
Anyone who would like to grow in faith and love!

Child care will be available. Come for one evening or come for all of them!
In order to help us effectively plan for the meals, we ask that anyone planning to attend the dinner register in advance by calling the Church Office at (952) 435-8102 or registering online here and letting us know how many will be eating dinner. I look forward to seeing you there!

Seed Planting Training

Planting seeds will be a major focus for our life together in the coming months. We live in a huge mission field, surrounded by thousands of people whom God longs for us to reach with the Gospel of love and hope. Just as our vision of what it means to be “Church” is sometimes skewed, so is our vision of what it means to share our faith with others!

You are invited to be captured by a whole new vision of what it means to give away what is most important to us…our faith! Seed Planting Training is a five-session training course focused on practical skills and perspectives. Through presentation, conversation and simple exercises, participants will be equipped to be effective seed planters in daily life. Training dates are Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m., March 16, April 13 and May 11 in Room 130, Worship Center.
