On October 21-24, 2010 (MEA week) we will have an opportunity to be missionaries right in our own backyard! We will be partnering with Urban Homeworks in North Mpls. and Urban Ventures in South Mpls. working with homes, community properties and churches. This will be a hands-on opportunity for all skill levels ages 15 and older! The cost will be about $140 per person, for transportation and meals. This opportunity is limited to 90 people; we invite you to think and pray about it now.

The annual POP Fall Golf Benefit will be on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m. at Boulder Pointe in Elko. This year’s benefactor is Mission Outpost. The cost is $75 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf (including cart) and dinner at Boulder Pointe. This is a “scramble” tournament; whether you’re a novice or expert, all are welcome. We want to be a congregation that honors and celebrates choral music and we’d love to have you join us in the choir loft this season. Pastor Erik Feig has been on military leave since January and is currently deployed to Joint Base Balad in Iraq. He has promised to keep us updated as time and mission allows, and his most recent update complete with pictures can be downloaded here (.pdf) and viewed on the bulletin board inside Door B of the Worship Center. Our prayers are with Pastor Erik and his wife Stacey, and daughters Kairee and Hailee during this time of deployment.
