MOPS is a non-denominational, international group that exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
The theme for the 2007-2008 MOPS year is, "The Home Factor: Begin Here…Go There." Every mom longs to create homes where our families can thrive and grow — and we can too. This year's theme is based upon the scripture of John 14:17, "...he lives with you and will be in you." We strive to provide a comfortable and supportive setting for all women in various stages of their own faith journey, tools for personal & spiritual growth, and fellowship with other mothers. A typical MOPS meeting consists of Greetings, Announcements & Snacks; a Devotion, Speaker, or Creative Activity; and Round-Table Discussion Groups.
Childcare is available during MOPS meetings for children ages six weeks through Kindergarten. It is provided in the Prince of Peace Childcare Center located on the lower level of the Worship Center at Prince of Peace. MOPPETS Childcare will be served by the Childcare Ministry Team at Prince of Peace and volunteers.
MOPS tuition is $60 for the year; or can be broken down into a $30 deposit, and $30 for spring semester. The deposit of $30 is due at time of registration, or you may pay the year in full. Any remaining payments will be collected at the first meeting of spring semester. Please make checks out to "POPWM". (Teen MOPS tuition is by donation only. Please ask the Teen MOPS Coordinator for more details.) Childcare fees are $20.00 for the year per child; with a family cap of $40.00. At registration, a childcare deposit of $10.00 per child ($20.00 family cap) is due.
Are you looking for a money-saving way to participate in MOPS? Mothers who volunteer for a sister MOPS group to help in the childcare rooms for at least 12 MOPS meetings (6 per semester) will receive a freeyear-long registration. Every mother is welcome at MOPS! If needed, please speak with the Registration Coordinator of your group regarding confidential scholarship information.
