We are so excited that you are now in the High school program that we call Thirty-two degrees! We want this to be the best possible transition for you into a ministry that will hopefully become a family for you. Here is a little information for you about this years adventure!

The 9th Grade Program meets Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8 PM, September through December. Why keep the 9th graders separate from the senior high program? We want this to give 9th graders time to build unity within their own class as well they will have clear teachings leading them towards their Affirmation of Baptism. Most importantly, this allows us to have senior high mentors and gather in better space. Having a separate program allows the Teen Staff to be totally focused on the 9th grade class during this time. We realize that changing program days and times can be stressful for families and, having weighed all options, we decided this was the most beneficial for the students.

What are Senior High Mentors? These are students in 10th - 12th grade who will be meeting with 9th grade small groups on Sundays and building relationships in hopes of encouraging 9th graders in their walk with God, relationships with each other and becoming part of the senior high program. This gives a safe and solid bridge to the senior high world and will allow students to feel they already have community within the senior high.

Discipleship Talks and Faith Talks are mandatory for all students in order to be confirmed. Each summer incoming 8th graders and one of their parents will meet with a Student Ministries staff member which needs to be set up by appointment within the times available. Faith talks are appointments where students meet alone with the staff member in the spring. These are highlights of our year as staff members, getting the chance to connect with students and their parents.
