Women's Retreat 2006

October 13-15, Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp in Amery, WI
Guest Presenters: Sue Lennartson & Susan Andringa. The Esteem Journey For Women: Living out the Fruits of the Spirit and God’s Plan, Purpose and Passion for your Life. You are invited to take part in "The Esteemed Journey" which is a discovery adventure that will challenge you, enlighten you and draw you in closer to being a celebrated creation of God. Whether you are feeling discouraged or disillusioned by life and where you are at this point in it, or need to have some new outlooks breathed into how you journey forward with Christ, come to this celebration of you as a woman and be ready to listen to what God is whispering to you.

These include: Information on Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage), Senior Housing Directories for the Metro Area, and Minnesota Health Care Directives (Living Wills). Are You Interested in Joining Prince of Peace?
Are you interested in becoming a part of our discipleship ministry at Prince of Peace? Whether you are new to Prince of Peace or this has been your church home for several years, you are invited to attend our discipleship classes in August & September.

Session 1: August 27, 2006, 3:30 - 5:00 PM
This session will by hosted by several ministry team leaders. Recognizing that God equips those whom God calls, we will provide opportunities for you to explore how you might use your gifts for service in and through Prince of Peace. Our focus will be on Family Ministry, Mission Outreach and Small Groups. This session begins with worship and will close with a question and answer session. Attendance at both sessions is required. Childcare will be provided.

Session 2: September 10, 2006, 3:30 - 5:00 PM
Jesus called his first followers to be disciples; the call to discipleship is for 21st Century Christians too. Therefore, in this session, Pastor Mike Foss will talk about discipleship and why Prince of Peace moved from the traditional membership model to a discipleship model. He will discuss the Marks of Discipleship and also introduce our Vision and Mission statements. This session will also include an introduction to discovering your spiritual gifts. Childcare will be available.

As we enter the final year of Journey of Faith, our goal is to finish strong! Please join with other Prince of Peace disciples in supporting our growing Christian community. Does Your Senior Adult Loved One Need a Visit?
Prince of Peace has trained spiritual care ministers who are available to provide one-time or regular visits with communion to seniors who are unable to come to church or are hospitalized. Please call Gloria in Vital Aging Ministries at 952-898-9358 to make your referral.
