Welcome to MOPS!

MOPS is a non-denominational, international group that exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

The theme for the 2011-2012 MOPS year is, “MomSense: Bold, Loving, Sensible.” Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game — and this year’s theme is appropriately game related. Have fun being a mom! Playing games involves being bold and taking risks, loving those in the game with us and being sensible while figuring out what works and what doesn’t.

We strive to provide a comfortable and supportive setting for all women in various stages of their own faith journey, tools for personal & spiritual growth, and fellowship with other mothers. A typical MOPS meeting consists of Greetings, Announcements & Snacks; a Devotion, Speaker, or Creative Activity; and Round-Table Discussion Groups.

Childcare is available during MOPS meetings for children ages six weeks through Kindergarten. It is provided in the Prince of Peace Childcare Center located on the lower level of the Worship Center at Prince of Peace. MOPPETS Childcare will be served by the Childcare Ministry Staff at Prince of Peace and MOPS mom volunteers. If you register your children in MOPPETS childcare, you are required to volunteer 3 times during the MOPS year.

MOPS tuition is $70 for the year ($35 per semester) on or before August 1, 2011. After August 1, 2011 tuition is $80.00 for the year ($40.00 per semester). In addition, Childcare fees are $20.00 per child ($10.00 per semester) with a cap of $40.00 per family for the year. First semester tuition and childcare fees are due at time of registration, or you may pay the year in full. Second semester tuition and childcare fees will be due in January 2012. Please make checks out to “POPWM”. Teen MOPS tuition is by donation only.

MOPS Scholarships are available. Please download scholarship application form at the MOPS Website, or request form by emailing MOPS or calling the MOPS Hotline. Forms are due Aug. 14, 2011.
