| Our goal in Sr. High Ministry at Prince of Peace is to surround our students with as many Triple A (Authentic, Affirming, Available) Adults as possible as they walk through the Seasons of Discipleship. If you, or someone you know is a Triple A Adult, please contact the Sr. High Staff and volunteer to be a part of Sr. High Ministry! |

As a high school student, there are plenty of things for you to spend your time on. We meet every Wednesday night to take time out of our busy schedules to focus on Christ, to learn about how He is working in what we do everyday, and build relationships that we can count on to walk beside us through our Sr. High years. We strive to develop an environment that is not only fun, but focused on something bigger than the nitty gritty of everyday life.

Senior High Ministries (SHM) is a ministry for grades 9-12. Every Wednesday night students experience welcoming community, dynamic Bible-centered teaching, and interactive small groups. These small groups are the heart of our program as they create a safe place for students to talk about everyday worries, questions about God, and tough issues while being cared for by an adult mentor. We focus on building a Christ-focused community by serving others, spending time together outside the church walls, and creating opportunities for students to engage their searching friends in a Christian environment.

Small Groups are the heart of what we do with Sr. High students, providing a safe place to ask questions about God, life and everyday worries with input from an adult mentor. A small group consists of 8-10 students in similar grades and an adult mentor, sometimes of mixed gender. Students may request one friend if they register online by August 1. A number of other factors are considered while forming groups and each student may end up with a few or many of the same group members from the previous year, but only one friend is guaranteed and only if both students register by August 1.

Students are encouraged to share their faith with their friends. Inviting a friend to come with you to Sr. High Ministry can be an easy way to start a conversation with them about God. Friends are always welcome to visit Wednesday night ministry. If they become a regular attendee (come more than 3 times) we would like them to register online so we have important emergency contact and medical information on file.

Sr. High student leaders are a key part of God’s ministry at Prince of Peace. Students have the opportunity to be a part of the Peer Ministry Team, Discipleship Group (Dgroup), or Worship Team. Regular Leadership Development meetings and social outings are a part of the experience. These are great ways to develop spiritual gifts, leadership skills, and to help develop and lead your peers in ministry at POP and beyond.
