The following is a list of services you will receive when you visit the Outpost.
Food shelf – You may receive food from our food shelf one time per month. Our foodshelf will often
include dry goods for breakfast, lunch and dinner, breads, fruits and vegetables and meats.
Clothing Closet – You can receive up to 10 items per family member, per quarter. Your family members
must be living in your house.
Furniture – Mission Outpost also has a furniture ministry that provides beds, dressers, table and chairs,
couches and many other items. The furniture is delivered to your home by our volunteers. Please speak
with your host for more details.
Dental Care – Beginning in spring of 2011, we will be offering dental care once a quarter. Your Outpost
host will talk with you about his new opportunity. There will be a small fee connected with this service.
ESL Classes – In January 2011, Mission Outpost held our first ESL class. This course is a 15 week course
that meets 2 times per week. Our next session will begin in the fall of 2011. There is a small fee for this
class. Please speak with your host about this opportunity.
Community Garden –If you are interested in growing fresh produce for yourself and your family, this
community garden may be just the right thing for you. You will be responsible for planting, weeding and
harvesting a designated plot of land just steps away from Mission Outpost. All food grown is for your
consumption and cannot be sold for profit. You may want to grow some items to be given away at the

Car Care – Coming soon.
Financial Assistance – Although Mission Outpost is unable to offer financial assistance, Salvation Army,
which is located within the walls of Mission Outpost, does provide heat share, rental assistance and
other aid. Please read below for more information.
