Health & Wellness Ministry

Health and Wellness Ministry is focused on both health and healing; combining our faith tradition and the knowledge and tools of modern health care.  This ministry encourages whole-person health through

  • integration of body, mind and spirit
  • increased self-knowledge
  • personal responsibility
  • interdependence among God's people
Spiritual Direction for Your Journey
  Spiritual Direction is a ministry of listening, discernment and prayer in a confidential setting of encouragement and compassion, focused on your experience of God. A director will partner with you on your spiritual journey by listening attentively, asking reflective questions, and suggesting possible resources. It is recommended to meet once a month for 3-5 sessions.

  It is a privilege for our Spiritual Care Ministry to serve the Prince of Peace community and the community beyond our doors.We are trained individuals that God has called to these ministries. We consider serving God in our ministry a great privilege and honor our responsibility to provide confidentiality to all people. Confidentiality plays a key part in our Spiritual Care Ministry.

Dial a Devotion
 

Our Prayer Ministry at Prince of Peace just launched our new “Dial a Devotion” last week. You are invited to call at any time, day or night, to listen to a recorded devotion which will include a scripture, inspirational food for thought, and a prayer. The devotion will change every Monday. The phone number for “Dial a Devotion” is (952) 223-9251. Give it a try and pass the word on to your friends. As I sit here with 2011 coming to an end, I am thinking about this past year with a deeper understanding of how time flies and how thankful I am for friends and family who walked this year with me. Just as many of you, I experienced ups and downs and losses during this time; this makes me think about what it is we are willing to do for ourselves and what we are willing to share with others!
