Lay Ministry is dedicated to minister to all generations of God’s people during the difficult stages and events of their lives. Lay ministers serve as a tangible presence of a loving God, in partnership with the pastors and staff of Prince of Peace, reaching out to our faith community and beyond, with compassion, comfort, hope and prayer.
Lay ministers are trained and commissioned to offer one-on-one emotional and spiritual support for individuals encountering challenges such as illness, depression, divorce, grief and loss, and chemical dependency. They are available for a one time visit or an ongoing supportive relationship. They visit people in the hospital, in care facilities and in their homes.
