Spiritual Care
As we grow older, we go through many life transitions. Sometimes we need a person with whom to talk or gather information. The Vital Aging Ministry staff, lay ministers and senior visitors are available to provide a listening ear, 1:1 visits with communion at the homes/residences of seniors, hospital visits, end-of-life care, funeral/memorial serve pre-planning, and care-givers' counseling and referrals to community resources.
Prayer

If you have a prayer request, please contact the church at 952-435-8102 or fill out the prayer card on Sundays and drop it in the offering basket. You may also call one of the Vital Aging Ministries staff at anytime.

Bridge Builders: Across the Generations

Prince of Peace students in grades 6-8 want to “adopt” a senior for the school year. These kids and their small group leaders will make visits at least once every other month to visit you, listen to your stories, gain wisdom from your long lives, and give you lots of love!

Contact: Gloria Swanson at 952-898-9358 or gswanson@princeofpeaceonline.org to take part in this exciting new ministry!

Handyman Service

Got a light bulb that needs changing? How about batteries in your smoke detector? Maybe you need a faucet replaced or a room painted. Vital Aging has help for you.

1:1 Visitation
Vital Aging staff are available to provide regular visits with communion to seniors who are unable to come to church, live in a care center or are hospitalized.

1:1 Crisis or Life Transition Care
Sometimes we need someone to talk with when we go through life transitions such as leaving our homes, experiencing the loss of health or the death of a loved one. There are trained spiritual care ministers who can walk the journey with you.

1:1 End-of-Life Care
Visitation and education is available for those with terminal illness and their families.

1:1 Hospital Visits
Please know that churches are no longer notified by a hospital when a member is admitted unless the person requests it. If you are scheduled for surgery or are in the hospital and would like a visit, we will gladly respond. Call the church office at 952-435-8102 and your message will be given to the person who is on call. You may also call Anita at 952-898-9357 or Gloria at 952-898-9358.

1:1 Nursing Home Visits
Nursing homes no longer notify the church when a member is admitted, unless the person requests it. Please call Anita at 952-898-9357 or Gloria at 952-898-9358 so regular visits with communion can be set up.

1:1 Funeral/Memorial Service Pre-planning
One of the best gifts you can give to your family is a pre-planned funeral/memorial service. Call for a confidential appointment with Gloria, 952-898-9358. For more information visit the Prince of Peace Funeral and Memorial Services page.

1:1 Financial Mentoring
Receive confidential, biblically based assistance in organizing finances or addressing financial concerns. Request a 1:1 conversation with a financial mentor anytime. Contact: Karen Odegard at kodegard@princeofpeaceonline.org or 952-898-9321
