Mission Outpost is designed as a place to foster servant hearts in those who serve and to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the community.

- Serves Burnsville and adjacent south of the river communities
- Recipients are often referred by public health nurses, other professionals, family, friends or other churches

- A ministry which shows the love of Christ to new moms in need by presenting them with a baby gift bag
- A "Bundle of Joy" gift bag consists of a new 0-3 month size sleeper, a receiving blanket, toy, and card. Additional items such as baby lotion, booties, comb/brush set, etc., may also be added
- There are a many requests for the "Bundles of Joy" by Dakota County professionals as well as Fairview Ridges hospital and our own Mission Outpost. Please place donations of partial or complete bags in the blue donation bins marked as "Bundles of Joy"

- A non-profit organization, providing meals to many individuals in our area whom are home-bound for health or other physical reasons, or unable to drive
- Volunteer drivers are currently delivering 90-100 meals each weekday. The meals are prepared at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville. There are approximately 10-12 routes per day with each driver delivering 6-8 meals. Routes include Apple Valley, Burnsville, Lakeville, Savage and Eagan.

- Named after the adorable, security blanket toting character from the Peanuts comic strip, it welcomes knitted, crocheted, fleece tied and quilted blankets of any size and pattern in child-friendly, bright-colored, fun prints and washable materials (a soft flannel backing is nice, too). Smaller incubator size blankets in pastel, comforting colors for newborns at risk are appreciated.
- Blankets are donated to the local chapter of Project Linus which will deliver them to families with sick children. Blankets may be dropped off in the donation bins, clearly labeled for Project Linus.
- Blankets not labeled for Project Linus will be given to and appreciated by our Mission Outpost families.

- Volunteers pick up day old bread products from local grocery stores on Wednesdays at 9 AM and deliver them to local group homes and adult day care centers

- A group that makes tied quilts for people in need
- Join them on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9 AM - 1 PM
- Also looking for people who might be willing to sew quilt tops in their homes on their own schedule

- A group that creates quilts for the POP Golf Outing, Wapo Bible Camp, Women's Ministry Christmas Sale, and the Gift Tree
- Join them on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9:30-3:00 in the Community Room. They are willing to teach you the different quilting techniques.

- Ministry which creates handmade shawls and scarves to be blessed and presented to senior adults
- Prayer shawls can be knit or crocheted. Simple patterns available.
- Sarah's Circle presents the shawls/scarves to senior adults along with a prayer "blessing" on their birthdays to those 85 years old or older

- A homeless shelter located in Minneapolis
- Prince of Peace has volunteers who serve meals to the homeless at their facility. The volunteers prepare specific donated food items.
- The food is brought to Prince of Peace; it is heated at Prince of Peace then transported to the shelter. At the shelter, our volunteers serve the meal.
- Special holiday treat bags are also created at different times throughout the year

- Dakota Woodlands, formerly Mary's Shelter, is a homeless shelter for women & children located in Eagan
- A group from Prince of Peace organizes a monthly birthday celebration for the children at Dakota Woodlands
- The ministry is in need of some volunteers who would be willing to help with the parties one time or on an on-going basis

- Sites in Twin Cities area where volunteers can package food and prepare it for shipping
- Partners with humanitarian organization to deliver the meals
- $1 will purchase the ingredients needed to feed six children for a day
- Prince of Peace has several times throughout the year set aside for us to package food at the Eagan site

- A project at Prince of Peace to support the soldiers serving overseas by sending gift boxes of requested/needed items to let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers everyday
- Several gift boxes are sent to one soldier who distributes the items where they are most useful
- There are three donation SOS boxes by entrances in the CLC and Worship Center. Each box also has a list of requested items. You can provide one or more items and drop them in these boxes.
- We are also looking for more names of soldiers currently serving. If you feel comfortable supplying names and addresses of soldiers who are currently serving, please contact JoAnn Kelly at 952-894-2787.
