Mission trips are an important part in many disciples' lives here at Prince of Peace. Disciples have taken the call to serve very seriously by traveling to parts of the country and the world that are very different than the suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul. God does some amazing things when you are away from distractions of cell phones, beepers and e-mails. In a group experience like this, there are opportunities to pray together, serve together, play together and spend time in quiet with God. Participants have ranged in ages from 5 to 75. These trips exist to help disciples grow deeper in their walk with Jesus, both individually and in community with others, and to share the love of Jesus in another culture. |
Doulos Discovery School has been a mission partner with Prince of Peace since 2002. Over 200 people have traveled to serve in this Caribbean mountain community working at Doulos and at a local Public School. One of the highlights of the trip will include a meal with a Dominican family. There will be 2 trips in 2008. An information meeting for both trips will be held October 28, at 11:00am, in the Media Center of the CLC. Click Here to download the registration form.
